The usual process for hospitality furniture is clear.  Tough, easy to clean upholstery on heavy duty foam, fixed in place.  With such products as banquet and booth seating, this is fine.  But what if you want to create a bar that doesn't look like a bar?   This is exactly the challenge that was extended to us with the Apartment Bar.

A HUGE (and expensive) mistake often made by people in the hospitality industry is to assume domestic furniture can live in a commercial entertainment environment.  The two products require two very different approaches.   As such, when the owners of Apartments bar contacted us with such concerns, we had the answers.

 The aesthetic approach is simple enough....to make a furniture setting that has a stylish, New York apartment image.  In order to acheive this, yet translate to a hard use hospitality product, we used a commercially heavy leather, firm density foam and heavy solid seat bases.  The furniture can withstand years in one of Wellingtons most popular nightspots, and the staff can clean up the excess the next morning with a simple wipe down with a clean cloth.
